Rob Allyn is Chairman of Margate House, the international film and TV production company he founded in 2007. Over the past 30 years, he has written, directed and/or produced three award-winning box office hit feature films, a highly acclaimed documentary, 52 TV shows and hundreds of commercials for Fortune 500 corporations, causes and campaigns.

With his son Conor, Rob spent three years in the jungles, colonial cities and islands of Java making RED AND WHITE, a trilogy of epic war dramas set during Indonesia's revolution against the Dutch. Set in 1947 and based on the Allyns' original screenplays, the three films were shot on 35-millimeter with a top-flight team of Asia's best film-makers and action experts from SAVING PRIVATE RYAN, BLACKHAWK DOWN, BRAVEHEART, THE MATRIX, THE PACIFIC and WANTED, among others.

Before founding Margate House Films, Rob spent 25 years as a highly successful ad agency owner, media consultant, author and television commentator in the U.S., Latin America, Asia and the Middle East. He has advised presidents, prime ministers, foreign governments, Fortune 500 corporations and sports teams like the Dallas Cowboys, Conoco Phillips, Coca-Cola, 7-Eleven and American Airlines.

In 2002 he sold Allyn & Company, his award-winning advertising agency based in Dallas, Austin, Phoenix and Mexico City, to Omnicom, one of the world's largest advertising and media holding companies.

A New York Times bestselling author, in 2007 Rob wrote the book REVOLUTION OF HOPE with former Mexican President Vicente Fox. The Washington Post called the book "prescient...inspiring" and said "he lays down chords in the key of the American dream like a master."

Rob's first novel, the political thriller FRONT RUNNER, was published in 1990 by Crown. Represented by the William Morris Agency, he received excellent reviews and spent 13 weeks on Best-Seller lists. Critics called it, "A bare-knuckled rampage... roars along with energy and vigor...swift and filled with suspense...entertaining and fast-reading...eminently readable...breathlessly exciting, brilliantly plotted."

For more than a decade, Rob was a regular commentator the PBS shows "On The Record" and "Between The Lines," and on Fox's "4 and Against." He has appeared on CNN's "Inside Politics," the "Bill O'Reilly Show," the "MacNeil-Lehrer Report" and "Listening to America with Bill Moyers." He also has been widely quoted in The New York Times, NEWSWEEK, Business Week, The Wall Street Journal, the Boston Globe, Miami Herald, LA Times and USA TODAY.

VARIETY called his first feature film RED AND WHITE "a well-mounted depiction of Indonesia's birth of a nation...solid performances and strong visuals impress." SCREEN DAILY it as "epic" as critics called it, "Vividly directed...written by Conor Allyn and Rob Allyn, the script weaves gracefully (and) boldly delivers drama and intrigue...elegant ...an epic drama combining action, romance, humor, tragedy and strong personal stories." The Jakarta Globe said it gave audiences an "unprecedented level of thrills...heart-pumping...stunning...highly entertaining...brilliant."

An Official Selection of the Amsterdam, Bangkok and LA Asia Pacific film festivals, RED AND WHITE won Best Film and First Place People's Choice Award at the Bali International Film Festival, along with Best Director and Best Actress. The film screened at Cannes and Berlin and has been to Pusan, Hong Kong and the American Film Market in Santa Monica, where the trilogy already has sold to the United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the Czech Republic, Belgium, Luxembourg and the Netherlands in a deal with European Film Partners and Universal Pictures Benelux.

It was nominated as Best Documentary at the 53rd Asia Pacific Film Festival in Taiwan, and was an Official Selection of the 2010 Hot Springs Documentary Film Festival in the U.S.

The Straits Times of Singapore called it, "A beautifully filmed documentary ... heartrending interviews...offers the promise of a 'White Revolution' that will turn deprived children into tigers, healthy and strong...an amazing canvas...compelling."
